  1. Be absolutely clear about what you offer and use a recent example of how you helped a client achieve something. The worst mistake freelancers make is being unable to state in ten seconds exactly what you do or worse going overboard and making out you’re a one-stop shop. Be a specialist, no more and know more than anyone else about what you do….however the most important thing about meeting new people/clients is to listen more than talk about yourself. they’ll remember the fascinating conversation they had with someone who cared to give them airtime!
